Since last May, the community of Las Vegas de Táriba has been waiting for the completion of the paving work on the town’s main road. After the asphalt layer was scarified, the road, used daily by hundreds of drivers, has fallen into a state of disrepair, worsened by rain and traffic.

State governor Freddy Bernal had proposed the restoration of various roads in the state during his election campaign, but after the scarification process, work suddenly halted. Despite multiple complaints from residents, no official information about the project has been provided for over three months.
The regional elections resulted in the re-election of Bernal as governor, so many people are still confidently awaiting the continuation of the paving work, which is part of a recovery plan supported by President Nicolás Maduro.
