The San Sebastián International Fair (FISS) has been the cultural heart of Táchira since its religious origins in 1835. Commemorating the patron saint San Sebastián, this festival was formalized in 1965 as an international event and has since grown to become one of the largest and most beloved fairs in Venezuela. Every year, the city of San Cristóbal was transformed into a party epicenter, with thousands of visitors arriving to enjoy its countless activities. It is a legacy that has endured over time, adapting to new generations without losing its essence.

This year, the 2025 edition promises to be an unforgettable spectacle. From January 6 to February 1, attendees are enjoying a program of more than 140 events. The exciting Vuelta al Táchira bicycle race and the colorful float parade have already taken place, and concerts with international artists have filled the nights of Táchira with music. Bullfights, the Expo Táchira, and the food fair will continue to be the highlights of this great celebration, attracting visitors not only from all over Venezuela but also from neighboring countries such as Colombia.

The FISS is much more than just a fair; it is an economic engine and a reflection of Táchira's identity. In the future, it is expected to continue consolidating itself as a cultural and tourist beacon for the region, promoting cultural exchange and local commerce. The tradition will be kept alive and will continue to be a space for gathering, culture, and enjoyment. If you plan to visit Táchira, be sure to experience this unique event that always leaves an indelible memory in the hearts of those who experience it.
